Summary:
The Retail Associate is responsible for a variety of tasks including Sales, Inventory, Pricing, Receiving, and Stocking of all merchandise.
This position is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the store and performs certain Housekeeping duties.
A good nature, and positive attitude is essential to the success of this role.
Responsibilities:
Provide a positive presentation to the Wyandotte Hardware Store customers by possessing a friendly, out-going attitude and manner.
Greet customers entering and throughout the store.
Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
Inform customers of Sales promotions.
Elevate any customer complaint to a member of management.
Communicate customer feedback to management.
Possess strong knowledge of store layout and products; cross-train to be able to work throughout the store.
Responsible for cashiering, stocking of shelves, and helping customers load products into their vehicles.
Perform daily maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom, restrooms, and outdoor merchandise area.
Operate all equipment in a safe and professional manner following the guidelines.
Participate in store meetings.
Perform Housekeeping duties as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be able to work a variety of shifts, any day of the week.
Must be familiar with using a computer, smart phone, and tablet.
Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, and climb for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted, and 60 lbs with assistance.
